On the lighter side…again

by Mike

We’re at the end of the week and I thought I would continue to find some unusual stories and generally lighten things up once more.

In the category of bare faced cheek comes this story from Safed in Israel. A woman was arrested after trying to exchange a pair of stolen Crocs shoes for a different size because they did not fit her son.

The woman was identified by the store clerk from security footage and immediately called the police.

Instead of exchanging the shoes for another pair, she exchanged them for a criminal record.

Maybe I should have put this in the category of bare faced cheek instead:

A Cincinnati store has won the annual contest to find America’s tidiest toilet. At first glance the restrooms at Jungle Jim’s International Market appear to be portable toilets. However they lead on to a jungle theme bathroom with tropical pictures, flowers and marble.

I’m all about putting smiles on people’s faces. People are so tense these days. Those bathrooms just seem to make people laugh and that’s what we’re all about: laughing and having fun.

In Austria, it is claimed that, the most expensive “Lederhosen” ever made, a diamond-studded pair of Alpine leather trousers, has been sold for 85,000 euros.

166 diamonds are set in gold in the trousers which are made from the leather of a wild deer. The Lederhosen was bought by a German who lives in Dubai.

And finally an Arm Wrestling game has been withdrawn from arcades in Japan after three people broke their arms playing it.

Arm Spirit challenges players to win through ten rounds against opponents including a drunken martial arts master, a Chihuahua dog and a French maid before reaching the final showdown against a professional wrestler.

The machine isn’t that strong, much less so than a muscular man. Even women should be able to beat it. We think that maybe some players get overexcited and twist their arms in an unnatural way
