A Problem Shared
Firstly I hope everyone had a great Christmas and that you will all have an even better New Year.
I appreciate what I am allowed to do here and appreciate even more the comments that I get back in relation to the blogs. Confession is supposed to be good for the soul and in some ways this is a very therapeutic process, to be able to vent about wrongs that need to be changed.
So it is in this regard that I am going to offer a bit of advice as I realise how frustrating a time the festive season can be. We go from seeing our loved ones and other family members for maybe a few minutes of every day to 24/7 until the start of January and it can cause a lot of tension and arguments.
I know from my own point of you that there were some things over the last few days that I had been bottling up and thus beating myself up over when there was nothing that I could do about it. It took my talking to close friends and family about it to really put some perspective on it and realise that at the end of it all, there was only so much I could do about the matter.
So I would definitely encourage those who are getting down and depressed about things in their lives that there is always someone to talk to. Speaking the words is half the battle as depression is something that will keep you down for a long time if you allow it to.
Once again Happy New Year to everyone and I hope it’s a good one.

Happy New Year to you, Mike. Visiting CI blog has become part of my daily routine, and while I don’t always say so I appreciate what you do and have been struck at times by both your courage and your honesty in speaking out on topics that others shy away from…although I’m not always in agreement.
Was it St. Augustine who said that confession is good for the soul?
Well I hope he doesn’t mind if I add discussion to that …..healthy discussion is something to be aimed for in ‘08?

Yes it is good to open up to our friends but I found Pray first put the problem in Gods hands then speak to three people you trust then take time to assess whose advice to take.
If you find a friend with a problem offer to help and stick around they may be a bit reluctant to accept it first time
Thanks Mike I appreciate the blog and HAPPY NEW YEAR
