Bullies are always cowards at heart and may be credited with a pretty safe instinct in scenting their prey - Anna Julia Cooper
Bullying is a horrible , cowardly act committed not by those who do not know any better but by those who are too afraid of themselves so the only thing they can do is lash out at others.
A survey commission by the Children’s rights director for England, Roger Morgan, has found that not only bullying through websites and mobile are on the rise but that bullied children are carrying knives and bottles to defend themselves.
Two-thirds of the 319 children surveyed said bullying was getting worse. The Children on Bullying report from the education watchdog Ofsted revealed that four out of 10 youngsters said they had been victims of electronic bullying, such as receiving a threatening text message or mobile phone call.
In all walks of life it is hard to admit that we are being manipulated and bullied. It is generally to do with a lack of self confidence and in situations such as school, some will do anything to be part of the “It” crowd. As life goes along, does it change that much from the playground days?
We seem to overlook more of what is done and condone it with a sweep of a brush while shouting “Hey, that’s society”, while there is a longer lasting effect on the victims. We do not always believe it to be the case and sometimes wonder why some people cannot just move on, when to them it can be almost impossible.
Some say it’s the part of growing up, the rites of passage and help makes us real men/women and sometimes there are experiences we have to go through in order to become the people we should be. However on other occasions it can lead to going through life with little or no emotion.
Do you have to forgive your past to forget it?
