Love is blindness?
Love and guilt can be a lethal cocktail that can have fatal consequences for those who take things too far.
With this in mind, I was sadden to read of the BBC childrens’ TV presenter Mark Speight’s death just months after the months after the tragic death of his fiancée Natasha Collins.
A love for someone is something that we cannot describe exactly what it is or how we feel because it is not something that can be seen, but when you are in this you believe that there is nothing like it and also that no one else can really feel like you do. I suppose it is very close to the edge of depression.
So to get to the stage that Mr Speight did, where he appeared to believe that the love he had for his fiancée was all that he had in his life, was something that those of us viewing it from the outside would be difficult to comprehend.
However on some occasions there is a very thin line between “I love you” and “I love you more than life itself.”
