Violence solves what?
The New Philanthropy Capital has published a study that shows that violence against women, in England and Wales, costs 40 billion pounds a year.
It seems crazy to me that this level of violence can be spread so far and wide, but then again respect for human life is constantly diminishing. The NPC says that the charities that are trying to help deal with this problem are “grossly underfunded”
Human trafficking, sexual and domestic violence and forced marriages are just some of the causes of this cost and it is a sad state of affairs when women are still treated like second class citizens, and in some cases worse then animals.
It is a cowardly act for a man to attack a woman. It’s too easy for some men to exercise their dominance, to show who is really “in charge”. I understand moments of rage where so much frustration can build up, but to take that anger and channel in beating someone who cannot defend themselves.
More women in these situations need to be strong enough to walk away from these situations. Unfortunately, like most of the things I discuss in this blog, it is easier said then done.

Chidi Umeano Says:
Violence begins when a child is told to revenge when he is laughed at in school. This then increases gradually and then finally the child is an adult and drafted into violent army and told/convinced that it is okay to kill other people called ‘the enemies’
