Why?

by Mike

I’ve mentioned before about the madness of violence and how it can shatter so many lives and the needless murder of Jimmy Mizen defies believe.

The 16 year old died defending his brother Harry, who was attacked by a stranger for no reason in a bakery 200 yards from home on Saturday.

It just makes you utter “why?”. What is the motivation for crimes like these, was the murderer on drugs or drunk or insane or just simply why?

You can’t crackdown on something unless you where the source is to stop it and the problem worldwide seems to be that no on seems to know where or how to try and stop this problem.

The police have come out and said that a “significant witness” has come forward and it can only be hoped that, for the Mizen family, the person responsible for this can be dealt with quickly and swiftly.

Having just watched Barry and Margaret Mizen on the news, I can only admire their ability to forgive. An interesting quote from Margaret in the Daily Mirror today struck me, when she said, “I want to say to the parents of the other boy I feel sorry for them.

“I don’t feel anger. Jimmy’s memories will go on but they will only have sorrow for their son.”

I think that says it all.
