I’m writing about celebrity again
This fame thing is always interesting to me, on occasions you will see bands who will work the circuit based on one hit song and try and sustain it for their entire career. Celebrity is no different.
I shouldn’t be surprised at the Paul Burrell situation, with the various rumours about his relationship with Princess Diana and about the evidence given in inquests and his special relationship and all of that.
What constantly surprises and amazes me is the lengths that likes of Mr Burrell will go to keep their name in the papers. Musicians, politicians, sports “stars@ etc are all the same. If you keep the rumour mill going for as long as possible with all of the “close sources” who drop the golden nuggets of information into the laps of the journalists, then a gossip hungry public will be able to feed their habit and get a regular fix.
I think it is vanity, but then again vanity exists in all corners of the land. For instance I’m sure my blog writing is considered a form of vanity, so maybe I am just as bad. If we all ignored celebrity maybe it would simply just fade. If I stopped writing about it, maybe it would all go away.
So that is probably the answer, I will stop writing about celebrity (for now) and see if it works.

Well if we can get the rest of the journolistic world to ignore them.. it might just work..
But, consdering ‘celebrity’ sells.. and well ya gotta pay the bills.. I guess there are some necessary evils in life..
