The headlines this morning will start to sound like Dublin is in the middle of an American style gang war, but what cannot be denied is that when a 13 year old boy is arrested for the shooting and murder of a 50 year old man; we have a problem.

Tidings of Comfort and Joy

Once, on a silent directed retreat, I was struggling with questions related to an ended relationship and my future after college. After three days of gloomy weather and arguments with God, I witnessed 5 minutes of sunlight on the trees across the lake before the sun set.

Cold days and nights, jobs being cut everywhere and a €7.5 billion shortfall in the amount of taxes collected so far this year. It does not look good at the moment.
