		<description>I agree with you Ronan, but you know as well as I do that people can be very insular no matter what and as self preservation they will look to put &quot;their own house in order&quot;, literally, first. 

So by that I think there is every chance that the charities will suffer and i think a lot of them have come out and said so recently.</description>

While I agree with you about not getting ahead of ourselves when it comes to job cuts I really do disagree when it comes to &quot;put(ting) the more poverty stricken countries to the back burner while we become a bit more selfish&quot;. We are selfish enough as it is. I shudder at the thought of a more selfish Ireland.

There are some extraordinary characters working hard in this country for the less fortunate but the prevailing view in the post-celtic tiger days is one of unbridled greed.

Anyway I will write a proper response in a later blog but for now I&#039;ll just say that the weakest amongst us should not be the ones to loose out because of the stupidity of billionaires.</description>
