Wednesday, September 5th, 2007
It has been well documented as to the decrease in attendances for mass services in churches across England and Ireland. With that comes the news that some members are looking for ways to adapt modern thinking to old methods.

Whose belief is it anyway?
Tuesday, August 14th, 2007
I’ve often wondered should we criticise people who do not follow the same religion as we do? Whether you’re Catholic, Protestant, Jewish etc does it really matter and do we not all pray to the same God anyway?
It is often said the Lord works in mysterious ways and also that we are to ‘love one […]

Sacramental Leniency
Tuesday, July 31st, 2007
The practice nowadays, where Christenings are concerned, is that most are performed soon after the birth of a child. The timing of this sacrament just doesn’t sit right with me. Many would be only too happy to leave things as they are for the sake of tradition… but tradition dictates otherwise. So…are we too lenient with our […]

Communities without unity
Friday, July 27th, 2007
In the 2000 years since the foundation of the Church Christian communities have been transformed from minority outlaws, living and praying together in underground tunnels, to entire nations singing from mighty Cathedrals…..but have we moved forward or backward?

What am I allowed???
Friday, July 27th, 2007

Well it is that fun time of year again, where we bemoan the amount of rain and wish we were in sunnier climates with our friends. This is summertime right?

Windows to the soul
Monday, July 23rd, 2007
When considering different forms of prayer we must ask ourselves should we learn to communicate in a different way for prayer to work? The answer in my opinion is a resounding ‘YES’. To pray is to allow your soul to communicate rather than your body and so ways of opening such a dialogue are needed….

The devil quotes scripture…
Tuesday, July 17th, 2007
In our efforts to reach out to fellow Christians we must be conscious not to overlook the needs of those of other faiths or none. It has been pointed out to me on occasion that the only group which led to anger from Jesus was a ‘Church’. It wasn’t the atheists or even those who […]

Britain….the western Iran??????
Thursday, July 12th, 2007
A storm has started to develop in Britain after comments made by Scotland’s Cardinal Keith O’Brien. Asked whether institutionalised anti-Catholicism existed in Scotland he didn’t need to check statistics…the answer was most certainly a ‘Yes’!
